The Service of Remembrance for Mrs. Ruth T. DeVault, age 95, of Lecanto, Florida, will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at the Beverly Hills Chapel of Hooper Funeral Homes with Rev. Frederick Schielke officiating. Mrs. DeVault died Tuesday, October 13, 2009 in Inverness,FL.

She was born September 20, 1914 in Bridgeport, WV, daughter of the late Thamer and Phebe (Slawter) Tyson. She worked as a beautician and moved to Lecanto from Virginia 6 years ago.

An avid bridge player, she also enjoyed reading, needlework, bird watching, collecting thimbles, and talking politics with her neighbors.

Mrs. DeVault was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Dare DeVault. Survivors include daughter, Carolyn T. Crawford of Hernando, FL, son, Donald David DeVault of Lutz, FL, and sister, Celia Henderson of Bridgeport, WV. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.HooperFuneralHome.com.
