Mr. George C. Nunamaker Sr. age 81 of Hernando, Florida, died Friday, November 6, 2009 in Hernando. He was born April 24, 1928 in Uhricksville, OH, son of late George and Bertha Nunamaker. He was an Army Air Corp veteran serving during WWII.

He worked as a Manager for Croftbay Village, Hernando. He moved to Hernando, Florida from Indianapolis, Indiana in 2000.

His hobbies included Writing Poetry, Bowling, Playing Bingo and Dancing.

Mr. Nunamaker was a member of American Legion Post # 0046, Tipton IN; VFW Post #4337, Inverness; K of P, Frankton, IN.

Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Dorothy J. Nunamaker, Hernando, FL; Step Son, Thomas (Deborah) Kurtz , PA; son, Mike Nunamaker, IN; son, George E. (Sheila) Nunamaker Jr., IN; 3 daughters: Diana S. Wilbur, Hernando; Cheryl Pea, IN; Patty Bullock, OH; 6 brothers: Howard (Dorothy) Nunamaker, FL; Paul (Jean) Nunamaker, NE; David, John and Harry Nunamaker all from PA and Richard Nunamaker; 8 Sisters: Shirley McCurdy, Annie Corbett, Judy Frushtafer, Helen Kline, Betty Trayer, Linda Lash, Carol Lane and Barbara Buzzard; 6 Grandchildren; 15 Great Grandchildren and several Nieces and Nephews.
