The Service of Remembrance for Mr. Robert Clyde Dunmire, age 81, of Homosassa, Florida, will be held 3:00 PM, Sunday, November 29, 2009 at Faith Lutheran Church, Lecanto, with Rev. He was born December 18, 1927 in Avonmore, PA, son of the late Alfred and Wilma (Haulton) Dunmire. He died November 23, 2009 in Homosassa, FL.

Mr. Dunmire was a Navy veteran serving during WWII. He worked as a carpenter and moved to Homosassa, Florida from Apollo, PA in 1991.

During his retirement, he enjoyed oil painting and working in the garden.

Mr. Dunmire was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan L. Baker; a son, Robert K. Dunmire; 2 brothers: Paul Dunmire, and Donald Dunmire; and a sister, Leota Comer. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, GeraldineR. Dunmire of Homosassa; 4 sons: Ronald W. Dunmire of Homosassa, Larry E. Dunmire of PA, Dennis M. Dunmire of CT, and Daniel A. Dunmire of VA; 2 daughters: Karen F. Park of Homosassa, and Heather L. Dunmire of Tampa; 3 brothers: Max Dunmire of OH, Ray Dunmire and Kay Dunmire, both of PA; sister, Lois Steele of PA; 18 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Arrangements are under the direction of the Homosassa Chapel of Hooper Funeral Homes & Crematory.
