Mr. Doyle Joseph Jobe

June 8, 1928 - November 9, 2021

Mr. Doyle Joseph Jobe, age 93 years, of Floral City, Florida, died Tuesday, November 9, 2021 in Lecanto, Hospice House FL. He was born June 8, 1928 in Tampa, FL, son of Joseph Franklin and Ellie Lee Parker Jobe and came to Floral City in 1991 from there. Mr. Jobe retired from the Cigar Industry after 37 years having worked as a Mechanic for Hav-A-Tampa Cigar Company, ( where he met his beautiful wife of 70 wonderful years of marriage), a Production Superintendent for Corral & Wodiska & Company (Bering Cigars), and a Consultant for offshore accounts with Swisher International Inc. serving the Mexico and Spain markets. He enjoyed gymnastics, football (Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Florida Gators), baseball (Tampa Bay Rays), softball and golf but his #1 sport was fishing Tampa Bay and the rivers and lakes of Citrus County. Mr. Jobe liked boating, camping, and hunting. He was a sparring trainer for the Florida Golden Gloves of America Inc. boxing team. Mr. Jobe was a US Navy Veteran of WWII serving as an aviation mechanic in Corpus Christi, Texas under the SNJ pilot training program. He was preceded in death by his parents; the love of his life, Thelma Jobe (January 31, 2019) and four siblings: Donald Franklin Jobe, Christine Cigarran, Carmer Dean Boromei, and Vernice Porto. Surviving are his son: Ronald Doyle Jobe and wife: Patricia; 3 granddaughters: Tonya Caldwell and husband David; Penny Paino and husband Brian and Jennifer Henninger and husband, Chris; 3 great grandchildren: David Doyle Caldwell, Andrew Joseph Morin, and Analiese Marie Henninger. He loved his family unconditionally. His greatest happiness and legacy was participating in the success of each family member as they grew and accomplished their goals in life. Memorial services will be held at The Florida National Cemetery (Bushnell) with Military Honors at the time of interment : (Not Yet Scheduled).
