Mr. Edward Tully Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

The Service of Remembrance for Mr. Edward Tully, age 77 years, of Homosassa, will be held 1:00 PM Monday, August 8, 2022 at the Homosassa Chapel of Hooper Funeral Homes. Mr. Tully was born July 8, 1945 in Englewood, NJ to Edward and Grace Branigan Tully and moved from Northvale, NJ to Homosassa in 1992. He passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, August 3, 2022. Mr. Tully retired as a firefighter after 22 years of service with the Teaneck, NJ, Fire Department. After moving to Florida, he began driving a school bus for the Citrus County School System and eventually worked in the classroom. Mr. Tully enjoyed golf, boating, cards, cruising, traveling and the oldies. He was a member of the Walden Woods Golf Club; a US Air Force Veteran (Vietnam) and a wonderful father and husband. Mr. Tully loved his dogs Daisy and Taffy. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister: Virginia Yankus. Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Phyllis Tully, Homosassa; 2 sons: Edward (Amber) Tully and Matthew (Micah Stoffel) Tully; a sister: Irene (John) Vogt; and 2 Grandchildren: Jade Ashlynn Tully and Caden Nicholas Tully.
