Fay Williams Homosassa, FL – Eva Faydene “Fay” Williams, 86, of Homosassa, FL., passed away on Thursday, July 14th, 2021 at Citrus Hospice House in Inverness, FL. Fay was born in Wyatt, Missouri on February 23, 1936 to the late Frank and Blanche (Harrelson) Wade. She was the fourth of six children. Fay was born and raised in the mid-west, living the first half of her life there, graduating from Reitz High School, Evansville, IN in 1954. In 1956 she married William K. (Bill) Williams, had four sons, and enjoyed the pleasures of rural living in southern Indiana. In the late 1970’s, the family moved to Saint Petersburg, FL where they remained until retiring to Homosassa, FL in 1998. Fay was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and great-grandmother. Often referred to as “Aunt Fay”, “Grandma”, or “Gigi”, she was also called “mom” by other “adopted” friends. Fay loved cooking, craft-making of all kinds, gardening, bird watching, and enjoying the outdoors. It was said that “she never drove home the same way twice”. A wonderful cook all her life, she will be remembered for serving delicious homemade meals, and all-you-can-eat donuts and ice cream for her grandchildren’s breakfast. Fay loved life, enjoyed her family, and will be remembered for loving others well. Fay was preceded in death by her parents, and older brothers Vernon Wade, and Robert (Bob) Wade. Fay is survived by her husband of 66 years, William K. (Bill) Williams of Homosassa, FL; children Tony Williams of Homosassa, FL; Wade (Lora) Williams of Saint Petersburg, FL; George Williams of Homosassa, FL; Wes (Freda) Williams of Saint Johns, FL; Allie Williams of Homosassa, FL. Also survived by grandchildren Jonathan, Daniel, and Rachel Williams of Saint Johns, FL, and three great-grandchildren; siblings Bill (Shirley) Wade, Mary Phillips, and Charles (Judy) Wade; and many nieces and nephews. Hooper Funeral Home of Homosassa, FL has been entrusted with the care, with a viewing from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on July 21st, 2022. Interment will be at 10:30 AM, July 22nd, 2022 at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
