Mr. Jan K. Ziolkowski

The Service of Remembrance for Mr. Jan K. Ziolkowski, age 82 years, of Inverness, will be held 11:00 AM Friday, December 7, 2018 at the Florida National Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-8:00 PM Thursday at the Inverness Chapel of Hooper Funeral Homes. Those, who wish, may make memorial donations to the American Heart Association or Alzheimer's Association. Mr. Ziolkowski was born July 15, 1936 in New York City, NY to John and Kazimierza Ziolkowski. He married the love of his life January 25, 1964 in Queens, New York and moved with his family to Inverness 25 years ago. He passed away Friday, November 30, 2018 in Inverness. Mr. Ziolkowski retired from driving everything and worked for 18 years as a Citrus County School Crossing Guard. He was Catholic by Faith and a US Army Veteran of the Korean War. Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Georgianna Ziolkowski; his son: Richard John Ziolkowski, Omaha, Nebraska; 3 Nephews: Nicholas Costa, Steven Costa, and William Ciangiola; a niece: Laura Ann Ciangiola; and a Grand Niece: Laura Ann. H is also survived by a sister: Vera Becker; a brother: Adrian Ziolkowski, and nieces and nephews.
